Oilers Lose Home-Ice Advantage in Series With Stars

Edmonton Lines Shift For Game 4 In Dallas

Here are your PlayAlbertaCA Lines of the Game for Oilers vs. Stars

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Oilers lost home-ice advantage in their first-round playoff series against the Dallas Stars after dropping Game 3 at Rogers Place on Tuesday night. The Stars took a 2-1 lead in the series with a 4-2 victory, thanks to a pair of goals from Jason Robertson. Roope Hintz and Jamie Benn also scored for Dallas, while Connor McDavid and Evander Kane replied for the Oilers. The Oilers will now head to Dallas for Game 4 on Thursday night, needing a win to tie the series. There were some changes to the Oilers' lineup for Game 3, as head coach Jay Woodcroft shuffled his lines in an attempt to generate more offense. The most notable change was the promotion of Jesse Puljujarvi to the top line with McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. Puljujarvi had been playing on the third line with Kane and Zach Hyman, but he was moved up in an effort to give McDavid and Draisaitl more support. Other changes included the return of Warren Foegele to the lineup after he missed Game 2 with an injury. Foegele played on the fourth line with Derek Ryan and Kyle Turris. The Oilers also made a change on the back end, as Kris Russell was inserted into the lineup in place of Slater Koekkoek. Russell played alongside Darnell Nurse on the Oilers' top pairing. The Oilers were outshot by the Stars 32-24 in Game 3, but they had a number of good chances to score. McDavid hit the post in the first period, and Draisaitl had a breakaway in the second period that was stopped by Stars goalie Jake Oettinger. The Oilers will need to be better at capitalizing on their chances in Game 4 if they want to tie the series. They will also need to find a way to slow down Robertson, who has been a thorn in their side all series long. The puck drops for Game 4 on Thursday night at 8:30 p.m. MT.
