Transfer Talk: Bayern's Davies Addresses Madrid Links
Speculation Abounds Over Alphonso Davies' Future
Bayern Munich wideman Alphonso Davies has commented on speculation linking him with a summer move to Real Madrid. The Canadian international has been in impressive form for Bayern this season, helping the club win the Bundesliga title and reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
Davies, who is under contract with Bayern until 2025, has admitted that he is flattered by the interest from Real Madrid but insists that he is focused on his current club. "It's always nice to be linked with a club like Real Madrid," said Davies. "But I'm happy at Bayern Munich. I'm not thinking about leaving."
Real Madrid's Renewed Interest
Real Madrid have reportedly made Davies their top transfer target this summer. The Spanish giants are in need of a new left-back with Ferland Mendy struggling for form and Marcelo's contract expiring at the end of the season.
Davies would be an ideal replacement for Marcelo, as he is a quick, attacking full-back who can also play in a more central role. However, Bayern Munich are reluctant to sell one of their key players and are likely to demand a high fee for Davies
